Founded in 1982, the West Houston Association of Professional Landmen (WHAPL) has spent over four decades advancing the landwork profession and upholding the honor and integrity of the oil and gas industry in Houston. WHAPL supports its members through continuing education, a robust professional network, and a directory of trusted in-house and independent landmen relied on by operators, brokers, pipeline and utility companies, and right-of-way firms across the region.

Integrity extends beyond the profession itself. WHAPL is committed to giving back to the community that sustains it — including through annual charitable initiatives like the Charity Sporting Clays Shoot, which has directed thousands of dollars to causes such as Hives For Heroes, supporting veterans through beekeeping and suicide-prevention programs.
